Hey Nor, let me tell you something. I’m so proud to be there. After 6 years (more or less) our friendship, this was the day that everybody in your life waiting th most (currently laaa..) Every of “us” know why. As for me, again, making peoples around me happy with what I could do (which is my passion, photography), it’s all worth it.

She is my law advisor :)

Tahniah (Congratulations)

Strobist: Human & Nature

October 26, 2009

These shots were taken during PHOTOTRIP Perhentian Island. Since this was a very short trip (3 days 2 nights), I was push myself to wake up early in the morning. Unfortunately, weather at the morning not as expected. Cloudy without morning ray. What i did? Instead of hoping on the morning sun ray, i tried to use flash as strobe to create artificial light. Plus, water splashes on the rock were giving me instant idea. Why not I just combine these elements together to create picture? Since I always shoot in RAW format for these kind of scene, I tried something extra. I changed the WB to shade, and what i got were images with warm tone.

It were just me and Hunny + Cat during this session. The others did not wake up yet. That mean, I have to control everything myself. Nobody will assist me in lighting set up. I was lucky, since Hunny were fast learner. She helped me by telling whether the lights from strobe fall at the right body part. Thanks Hunny.

Again, as a photographer, I always train myself to explore anything possible to me, relevantly. :)

When it comes to creating images, I always have passion on combine the artificial lights and naked light.

STROBIST: Under the Rain

October 17, 2009

I really want to make a photo shooting under the rain. Definitely I am not the first who did it. But at least, I had my first moment. Thanks to Yummie for allowed herself to be portrayed under the rain. Back at home, I was just thinking, maybe if I had a better and proper plan, the outcome should be far above than these.phototrip__1058

I had this shot session during our PHOTOTRIP to Perhentian Kecil Island recently. As I can see the rain was coming soon, I tried to find a spot that can minimize the risk for my equipment damage. Thanks to my friend who was willing to hold an umbrella with flashgun under the rain to give the highlight for the subject.

I decided to use  a telephoto lens, (Nikkor 80-200mm) for these shot. I want to compress the frame and perspective, as to avoid the unwanted object in my frame.  So, this is what i got, in about 20 minute session.
